GOD: There is one eternal and sovereign triune being – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; Creator and sustainer of all. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; Hebrews 1:8; Acts 5:3-4)

JESUS: Fully divine and fully human, without sin, born of a virgin, Lord, Savior, Redeemer. He lived, willingly died to pay for our sins, and on the third day was raised bodily from the grave. This made possible God’s forgiveness and granting of eternal life to all who believe. He is the only way to be saved. (Philippians 2:6-11; John 1:1-3; Acts 4:12)

HOLY SPIRIT: He was sent by the Father and the Son to bring conviction of sin, to live in all believers, and to bring about new life in Christ. He enables believers to live by guiding, helping, teaching, and restoring them to the image of God. (John 16:7-13; Romans 8:14-16)

BIBLE: God’s inspired word; God’s truth to all mankind to explain salvation and teach believers what to believe and do. The Bible is God’s current primary way of speaking His truth to us. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

HUMANITY: Created in God’s image; fallen into sin; yet we remain of great value to God. (Genesis 1:26-27; 31-24; Romans 5:8)

SIN NATURE: The inability of humans to be totally right and do right according to God’s perfect moral character and righteous standards. (Romans 3:23)

SALVATION: The act of God’s grace in Christ whereby He forgives us our sin, grants us new life based on Christ’s death and resurrection, and on our repentance and faith, promising to one day resurrect us in His perfect image, and give us life forever in His kingdom. (Mark 1:14-15; John 3:16)

CHURCH: God’s people being led by Christ’s Spirit and His word to love one another and to help one another grow to maturity in faith, hope, and love; and to do God’s work until Christ returns. (Ephesians 4:11-13)

FUTURE HOPE: Christ Jesus will return and accomplish two things: judge the world in righteousness, and take all believers to be with him. There will be a new heaven and new earth for God’s people to enjoy forever. Heaven is a place where people will live in love and unity with God and with each other. (Acts 1:10-11; John 14:3; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Romans 14:10-12; 2 Peter 3:13)
